Here are some photos from one of my first weddings of the year which took place in the beautiful Lisloughrey Lodge in Cong, Mayo. The sun seems to be nearly always shining every time I cover a wedding in Cong. Mairead and Thomas had their wedding ceremony in Cong church before heading back to Lisloughrey Lodge for their wedding reception.
I remember Mairead telling me that she would be going a little vintage with some of the wedding details. I love vintage themed weddings but I was taken by surprise when I arrived in to the Lisloughrey Lodge that morning to see a few (what I presumed were wedding guests) in outfits that looked like they were from the 16th century. Eventually I found out that they were only there because a Tudor style film or TV series was being shot in the nearby Ashford Castle. So although Mairead and Thomas were having a few pretty vintage details for their wedding they weren't going 'extreme vintage'.
As always, I brought them to Cong abbey just behind the church after their wedding ceremony for a few photos. Its a fab place for the photos as is Lisloughrey Lodge's grounds.
