Clare & David's wedding at Bushfield Charlestown with reception at Knockranny House Hotel, Westport, Mayo

Here are a few photos taken at Clare and David's wedding. I started off the day when Clare was getting ready at Knockranny house hotel in Westport before heading off to St. Patrick's Church, Bushfield in Charlestown.

As you can see from the photos there was a bit of rain (not that it dampened any spirits though). I'm sure David's new nickname could well be Kevin for a while after the priest mistakenly called him Kevin a few times at the start of the ceremony. Its not the first time Ive seen it happen though. Always gets a good laugh.

Clare & David had the great idea to stop off at a pub they knew in Charlestown for a quick pint and a nice photo. I really love how the one came out with them standing infront of the pub. Its a real quirky wedding portrait. The pub is one of those places that sell a whole lot more than just drink as you might see by the signage on the window.

Finally we headed back to Knockranny House Hotel in Westport where the wedding reception was being held. It seems to be one of the busier wedding venues in Mayo (or maybe Im just photographer for weddings taking place there allot).

Elaine & Matthew's wedding at Islandeady church & Knockranny House Hotel, Westport, Mayo.

Back at St. Patrick's church in Islandeady this time for Elaine & Matthew's wedding. It was wet at times, windy and quite chilly too.  But I guess we wouldnt have got such a dramatic photo of them outside Knockranny House Hotel with Croagh Patrick in the background. We were lucky enough to have a few minutes clearing of the clouds to get this as the sun was just about to go down.

Ive done so much photography for weddings around Westport where we wanted to get Croagh Patrick in the background and each time it comes out so different. Probably down to the different times of day, year & weather.

Fair play to Elaine & Matthew, a really lovely couple to work with.
