Well you know your in demand when a couple come all the way over from Alabama to have their wedding photos taken with you. OK..... they might have been on their honeymoon here also. Angela and Robby got married in Alabama but wanted to get some of their wedding portraits done in Ireland while on holiday. What a great idea. And choose me, what another great idea ;)
I arranged to meet them while they were visiting the Mayo Galway area. Luckily for me they were staying a night at Ashford Castle, Cong. Im never stuck for scenic locations when it comes to Cong.
Here are a few photos from the shoot.

Proof that you dont need an expensive camera to take some decent photos
I went for a quick walk with the dog this evening. Rather than the usual trip to the woods in Tourmakeady I decided to explore the mountain road behind us. I drove a mile past the house and pulled in when I saw this bog road. I was going to just walk along the main road (and I say 'main' road in comparison to that old bog road). But the bog road would mean that I could let Milly off the lead. Happy days for her.
As the sun was setting I was cursing myself for not having my camera with me. I decided to take a few snaps with my iphone that was just about to die. As Ive got busier with work I tend to not have as much time to take these kind of photos.
I have to say, I was pretty impressed by the quality of the photos that it produced. It goes to show you that you dont need a big expensive camera to take some decent photos. After I uploaded the photos to my computer I did a bit of retouching in Adobe Lightroom.
You can tell by the first photo that I was glad I had my waterproof boots on.

Oisín & Donna's wedding and testimonial
"From our first visit to Abaca studios in Westport, to our wedding day Ciaran was a true professional. The style of shots taken are second to none and give another dimension to wedding photography. Will be recommending Abaca to everyone we know.
Ciarans approach to our wedding photography was very relaxed which meant we were able to concentrate on other aspects of our wedding."
