Some photots of Winter 2009/10 in Mayo

Here are a few photos I took since Christmas of around the area. They were all taken within a few miles from the house. Pontoon, Achill Island, Newport and Crossmolina.

Icicles

I must say I'm not taking as many photos as id like of all this frost and snow we have. Over the next few days I plan on getting a few though.

Yesterday I went for a quick drive around the Nephin Beg range which is not too far from here although I did leave it a bit late because of a few people coming in to the studio.

Unfortunately I wasn't inspired much and only took two photos of this bunch of icicles. The sky was nice and so were the icicles but I would have loved something more visually attractive in between.

On thing I learned on this trip was to never stop your vehicle half way up an icy hill.
